A Leader in the Industry
Though reintroduced in January 2009, Automated Door Solutions by La Force (A.D.S.), has a lengthy history in the door, frame, hardware and pedestrian automatic door industry. Don La Force, the company’s founder has been personally active and involved in Division 8 representation, distribution and manufacturing for over 65 years. John La Force, Don’s son, has been actively involved in Division 8 distribution and manufacturing for over 35 years. With the La Force Family experience and designs, we’ve been successfully manufacturing “The Original” In -the-Floor and Under-the-Floor commercial pedestrian automatic operator kits and accessories since 1984.
The La Force Legacy Continues…Prior to the sale of Don La Force Associates, Inc. in March 2007, John La Force, the then DLA President, retained a piece of the business for the La Force family. This portion of the business was important as it consisted of a number of innovative automatic door designs, products and solutions created and introduced by family members. A couple of key products introduced in the mid 1980’s and that ADS now manufactures, are “The Original” 4440 series of In-the-Floor Operator’s and 4400 series of Under-the-Floor Operator’s.
In March 2007 the company was re-introduced as the In Floor Operator Company, owned and operated by Don La Force. Though active for a couple of years, Don decided to spend more time enjoying his retirement and stepped down from his role as the company President. In January 2009 the company was re-launched under the name Automated Door Solutions by La Force, a DBA of La Force Enterprises, Inc. John La Force now retains 100% ownership and control of the company as President/CEO.
